Happy New Year!

I write as air finally chills with winter, although the ground remains resolutely brown, denying the season its romance.  The Glass House site is closed to the public until May 2nd.  However, the staff is hard at work with many off-season projects.

New Book! The Library of Philip Johnson: Selections from the Glass House

The Philip Johnson Glass House and Birch Books Conservation are proud to announce the launch of a ground-breaking publication, The Library of Philip Johnson: Selections from the Glass House. Written by Birch Cooper and Jordan Hruska, this beautifully illustrated book examines 100 titles from the architect’s Library/Study located at the Glass House site in New Canaan, Connecticut and features an introduction by architect Robert A. M. Stern, textual analyses and 350 photographs.

This exceptional experience pairs two modern icons: the Philip Johnson Glass House in New Canaan, CT and the  Four Seasons Restaurant in New York.  Guests pair a private tour which includes a behind-the-scenes look at the  Glass House, Painting and Sculpture Galleries, the Library/Study and Da Monsta with a celebratory three-course dinner, including champagne and special wines, selected by owners Alex von Bidder and Julian Niccolini, at the Four Seasons Restaurant, designed by Philip Johnson.
